I've been practicing and teaching Reiki since 1997, certified as a
Master in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition. I have incorporated that
into my work as a Certified Massage Therapist since 2002. I
currently practice Reiki and massage at Montpelier Family
Chiropractic in Montpelier Va: Reiki is a TeAte, or laying on of
hands healing technique. A Reiki therapist has been initiated
through a series of attunements to channel Ki for healing mind,
body, and Spirit. According to conventional Reiki theory, the
purpose of the attunements is to purify the healer's Ki so that it
vibrates at a higher frequency, that of the Spiritual Realm, in
order that healing can take place on a deeper than physical level.

Joy is a licensed esthetician in the state of Ohio. She first became
interested in the cosmetic properties of the essential oils in many
of her facial and body treatment services. She was introduced to the
therapeutic properties in November of 1999, and has been "hooked"
ever since. Joy has traveled throughout the country studying the
therapeutic value of essential oils, and has utilized them in a
practical application to resolve her own personal challenges, as
well as those of friends and acquaintances. Her lecture schedule
includes such fascinating topics as "The Healing Oils of Scripture"
and "Aromotherapy Basics". She also provides hands-on coaching for
Raindrop Therapy and Vita Flex techniques. Joy has a wealth of

I am a licensed massage therapist and hospice volunteer. The focus

Sonya is a fiber artist who has been sewing and making jewelry for
35 years. She makes art dolls, fabric containers, and a variety of
beaded jewelry. She will be doing a workshop on tie dying and give a
presentation on using relaxation techniques to cope with anxiety,
and aid getting to sleep.

There will be Sweat Lodge (Inipi) ceremonies throughout the weekend.
The schedule is still in the process of being updated. Yellow Bear
is very proficient in Native American Traditions and he makes all
feel welcome, be they beginners or seasoned veterans of the Sweat

past president of the Cumberland Mycological Society.
30 to 60 min. presentation and go in the woods and collect mushrooms
for identification and if the weather cooperates and we have a good
flush, might could even cook a few.
